This site is a tribute to Russell Bonner, who was born in Guildford on October 22, 1938 and died following a long but brave (and stubborn!) battle with prostate cancer & secondaries, in the early hours of 19th January 2021.
He is much loved and will always be remembered. A most beloved and loving son, a brother, brother-in-law and an uncle. A true & fiercely loyal friend to so many.
Russell would greet his friends & acquaintances alike, with "How the devil are you!"
Russell was always busy. He served in the Army, spent more than 20 years working for the then Godalming based company, Alan Paine, and latterly he worked at the White Hart, where his favourite job was cleaning the brass to a mirror shine.
His social life was centred around The White Hart, where he was a patron for many decades.
Russell was very well known for his all round smartness & shiny shoes. He never left the house unless he was immaculately groomed, without exception. He took great pride in his personal appearance.
He really will be sorely missed & we would encourage you, his friends & family, to write a fitting tribute to Russell & share your stories and memories.
Help grow Russell's Tribute by adding messages or memories you'd like to share.
